City Car Driving 2.0 – Driving Mechanics in Rainy Weather
City Car Driving 2.0 (CCD2) is set to launch in November 2025, and the development team continues to push the boundaries of realism. One of the key improvements comes in the driving experience during rainy weather, which is now more immersive and dynamic than ever.
According to the latest developer diary, raindrops are no longer simple visual effects that appear on the windshield. They now behave according to real-world physics:
- When multiple drops fall in the same area, they merge and grow larger.
- As the vehicle moves, the wind pushes the drops downward, causing them to gather into streams and flow across the surface.
- The drops also interact with each other, merging and changing shape naturally.
This enhanced simulation not only looks more convincing but also affects how the vehicle is driven—especially under harsh weather conditions.
The developers are continuously refining every environmental detail to make each element feel meaningful and immersive. Their goal is to ensure that every part of the world contributes to the overall driving experience.
